Meet Kate, kindness cultivator

Hi, I'm Kate! I'm a Reiki practitioner and someone who works to find the good in everything (or learn to let it go). I completed my Reiki training with Cathy and Ken Freschi in Madison, CT in the practice of Usui Reiki, which was founded by Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan. I first experienced Reiki over 10 years ago, which inspired my exploration of many metaphysical ideas and practices. Today I continue to practice yoga and meditation in addition to Reiki. I am currently working on my 200 YTT and look forward to combining more of my practices to better serve the greater good.

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word that means "universal life force". In my practice, Reiki is a continuous reflection of yourself and the world around you through a lens of kindness. Having compassion and understanding for others and acknowledging the oneness that exists, which allows Reiki Practitioners to harness the universal life force and to serve as a conduit for that energy.​


We are our thoughts, our words, our feelings, and so much more. By cultivating a space of kindness for ourselves, we can share that with others and the world. Learn more about Reiki the benefits, and my work below. I am looking forward to connecting with you!


What is Reiki?

Reiki is a healing practice in which the practitioner is intentionally directing energy toward the recipient to activate the natural healing processes of the body. This supports the restoration of physical and emotional well-being.

In a session, the intention of the Reiki practitioner is to create a relaxing experience, which allows for the the release of energy blocks caused by stress, anxiety, and many more emotions. Reiki is a unique experience for each individual. For some, they may notice changes in temperature, tingling, pulsing, pressure, a clear and calm mind, and more.

Reiki has a number of benefits. Many seek to experience Reiki to address stress & anxiety, sleep & relaxation, clarity, overall balance, and emotional support.

This is not a traditional Western medical practice; it is not meant to replace the recommendations of a doctor or to be used instead of medical advice of a doctor.

Clarity, Balance & Emotional Support

Reiki is an opportunity to quiet your mind and reflect. This often allows for insight and clarity on life's many questions. Reiki supports the balance of the physical and emotional body by balancing the chakras and bringing awareness and support to physical parts of the body as well. This can be both overwhelming and rejuvenating.

Initial Reiki Session

An initial session is 45 minutes and includes an overview of Reiki, a consultation to discuss intentions or questions, followed by Reiki.


Reiki Session

Individual Reiki Sessions are an hour and include an initial consultation followed by a Reiki Session with time for conclusion and reflection.

Benefits of Reiki can be amplified if experienced over time. Participate in 10 individual Reiki Sessions over a period of 6 months.
